The MMCS Library Auditorium stands as a remarkable architectural feature within the premises - a 750-seater hall that once hosted lectures, performances, and community gatherings until 2018. Designed with exceptional height and acoustics, it ensured clear visibility and sound from every level. Beneath the main floor run underground passages that allowed performers to move discreetly between stages, reflecting thoughtful design uncommon for its time. A distinct royal entryway, reserved for dignitaries and special guests, further highlights its heritage connection to Patiala’s erstwhile regal architecture. Though currently non-operational, the auditorium remains a symbol of the library’s vibrant cultural past and its enduring potential to revive public engagement in the future.
This is the last pause point. The auditorium is undergoing renovation and will be reopened for the public soon.
Thank you for visiting the library, hope you enjoyed the walk. Please fill the feedback form given in the QR code on the right. Hope to see you soon!
